New Research: A group of Chinese researchers studied data from more than 350,000 people between 2010 and 2020 and found that coffee and tea consumption reduces the risk of stroke and dementia.

Drinking 2-3 cups of coffee per day, or 3-5 cups of tea (or 4-6 cups of a combination of the two) dramatically lowers a person's risk of having a stroke or developing dementia. Coffee also lowers the risk of post-stroke dementia. Tea alone does not lower risk of post-stroke dementia.
